About
Hi! I'm Sandy Huber (aka Sandy Payne, or Miss Payne to my former students). I've been photographing weddings since 2005. After the first wedding, I was hooked! I love weddings, and love photographing them even more. Because I only accepts a few weddings every year, I bring my passion, enjoyment, and personal attention to every wedding. My style is easygoing, calm, and unobtrusive, as I strive to capture moments in an honest, natural way. My goal is to make my couples feel so comfortable in front of the camera that they can relax and enjoy their day, and their pictures ensure that the memories last forever.
I grew up in Okemos, Michigan, where I fell in love with Photography in middle school. (Thanks to Mr. Carney, the best teacher ever!) I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 with a BFA in Advertising Photography, and went back to RIT to earn an MST in Art Education in 2000. I teach art and photography at Lake Placid Middle/High School. When I'm not teaching art or shooting weddings, I work as a whitewater rafting guide, kayak instructor, and volleyball coach. I live in Lake Placid with my wonderful husband, Ed, and our cats Nutmeg (the sweet one) and Daisy (the brat).
