Sandy Payne Huber has been photographing weddings since 2005. After the first wedding, she was hooked! She loves weddings, and loves photographing them even more. Because she only accepts a few weddings every year, Sandy brings her passion, enjoyment, and personal attention to every wedding. Her style is easygoing, calm, and unobtrusive, as she strives to capture moments in an honest, natural way. Sandy's goal is to make her couples feel so comfortable in front of the camera that they can relax and enjoy their day, and her pictures ensure that the memories last forever.
Sandy grew up in Okemos, Michigan, where she fell in love with Photography in middle school. (Thank you, Mr. Carney!) She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 with a BFA in Advertising Photography, and went back to RIT to earn an MST in Art Education in 2000. She teaches art and photography at Lake Placid Middle/High School. When she's not teaching art or shooting weddings, Sandy works as a whitewater rafting guide, kayak instructor, and volleyball coach. She lives in Lake Placid with her wonderful husband, Ed, and their cats Nutmeg (the nice one) and Daisy (the brat).
